Refund Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective July 20, 2026

The short version

If the report didn't work, we refund you. If you read it and it wasn't worth it, email us within 14 days and we refund you — one satisfaction refund per customer.

What you're buying

$49 buys one Sociotype+ Profile: a report generated from your results at the moment of purchase, available to read and download from your profile.

It's a digital product, so you get it immediately. That affects statutory cancellation rights in some places, which is why we ask you to acknowledge it at checkout: completing your purchase means asking us to generate your report right away.

When we always refund

  • The report failed to generate, or generated incorrectly
  • The PDF won't download or open
  • You were charged more than once for the same report
  • You were charged for a report you didn't receive

Email [email protected] and tell us what happened. You don't need to argue for it.

Satisfaction refunds

If the report wasn't worth it to you, email us within 14 days and we'll refund you. You don't need to justify it — though telling us briefly what fell short is how the product gets better.

This is one refund per customer. Refunded reports are revoked: the report and its PDF stop being available in your profile.

What we don't refund

Purchases where your results changed after you bought. A report is a snapshot of a specific moment — that's the product working as described. A report reflecting updated results is a new purchase.

We also decline refunds where the guarantee is being abused. That includes repeated purchase-and-refund cycles, purchases made across multiple accounts to obtain reports without paying, and requests that follow a pattern of chargebacks or disputed payments. We keep enough information about payment methods to recognise this across accounts.

If we decline a refund we'll tell you why, and we'll close accounts being used this way.

Warned purchases

If your profile showed a low-confidence warning at checkout — some results entered by hand, or a close call — that warning is there so you can decide before paying. Buying anyway and finding the report less specific than you hoped isn't grounds for an automatic refund, though it still falls inside the 14-day window.

How refunds work

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. We refund the full amount including tax.

If something's wrong, email us before filing a chargeback — we're faster, and we'd rather fix it directly.
